of Hiralal Bhatkal College, Nalhati, Birbhum, West Bengal. He obtained Ph.D. Degree from University of Calcutta. He stood first In M.Sc. from Vidyasagar University. He was the recipient of Sabitri Parya Memorial Endowment Gold Medal and Shyamdeo SIngha Memorial Endowment Gold Medal.
